Dimapur, Nov. 11 (EMN): Peren district administration in collaboration with the State Bank of India, Jalukie Branch and district-level centre for women-MSK Peren organised a mega awareness programme cum workshop on financial inclusion and financial schemes of the Indian government on November 8 at Gaili village council hall.
EAC Ngwalwa, Rumbemo T Kithan urged the people to be more vigilant about the prevailing societal norms and look at the brighter side to develop the society with regards to promoting girl child, informed an update from DIPR.
Women welfare officer Heiriateilei spoke on how the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) functions and works in the district and told the gathering that the main objective of BBBP is to celebrate the birth of the girl child and to educate her.
SBI, Jalukie Branch assistant manager, Paotinngul Hangsing also spoke on various life insurance schemes available under banking sector.
