Dimapur, Nov. 2 (EMN): The Nagaland Press Association (NPA) will be conducting a media workshop with the theme ‘Role of media against corruption’ on Nov. 13 and the 14th at Dimapur.
Nitin Sethi, deputy editor of Scroll.in will be the resource person for the two-day workshop, the association informed in a press release issued by its General Secretary Along Longkumer. Scroll.in is an online portal describing itself as an independent news, information, and entertainment venture. It aims to bring into sharp focus the most important political and cultural stories that are shaping contemporary India.
Details about the workshop were discussed at a meeting of the NPA that was held at the Press Point in Dimapur on Nov. 2, it was informed. This media workshop is being organised by the NPA with support from the directorate of Information & Public Relations, the press release stated.
Nitin Sethi has over the years come to focus his work on governance, political economy and development, the press association stated. Starting his career as senior assistant editor at Down to Earth, a science and environment fortnightly, Nitin has gone on to work at the Times of India, The Hindu, Business Standard and now at Scroll.in. He is also involved in other professional engagements.
Currently he is guest faculty at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication at New Delhi and a guest lecturer at Ashoka University.
