Dimapur, Oct. 18 (EMN): Nagaland lost to Mumbai by 115 runs on Friday in the ongoing Women’s Senior T20 Trophy 2019-20.
In an update made available to the media by joint secretary of Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) A Rahman, Mumbai elected to bat after winning the toss and put up a total of 161 runs for loss of three wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
Vrushali (46 runs) and Sayali (40 runs) were the main contributors for Mumbai. Meanwhile, Rakhi, Nazma and Pankul took a wicket apiece for Nagaland in the match.
Needing 162 runs to win, Nagaland managed to score only 56 runs for loss of six wickets in 20 overs. Madhumonti scored 19 runs for the team, while Nazma and Sentilemla scored 12 runs each. Leading Mumbai’s bowling attack was Saniya who took two wickets.
Nagaland will now take on Karnataka in the next match on October 20 in Mumbai.
