DIMAPUR: Japfü Dazzlers defeated Pauna Queens by 9 wickets in the first match of the ongoing second edition Women's Champions Trophy played at Nagaland Cricket Stadium, on Friday.
Having won the toss Pauna Queens opted to bat first and in the stipulated 25 overs managed to put up 75 runs on the scoreboard losing 7 wickets. Kajenkala was the only notable scorer with 28 runs. Japfü Dazzlers completed their task of chasing down the target in just 13.5 overs with contributions from Najmeen (12 runs) while captain Alemienla (36 runs) and Talirenla (15 runs) not out guided their team to a comfortable win by 9 wickets.

The matches between Tiyi Strikers and Terogvu Titans and Saramati Warriors versus Puliebadze Slingers were abandoned due to rain.
The much anticipated final of the Women's Champions Trophy will be played between the two table toppers Japfü Dazzlers and Saramati Warriors on Saturday (June 10) at Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima, with Minister for Women Resource Development and Horticulture, Salhoutuonuo Kruse as the special guest.
