Women trained on basket weaving

Dimapur, April 14 (EMN): The district-level centre for women- Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK), Kohima, under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, in collaboration with the State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD), organised a training programme on basket weaving with the Tsiaramiapfü Krotho of L Khel, Kohima village, at Kruoliezou panchayat hall on April 14.

The objective of the training programme was to promote an alternative means of livelihood for the womenfolk, an update from MSK stated.

A brief overview of the training was delivered by Dr. RokosunoKintso, senior lecturer at SIRD, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Vikeduozo Sorhie, district coordinator of DLCW- MSK, Kohima.

The instructor of the training was Neizelieü Seyie. The training was attended by around 30 women.
