DIMAPUR: A women society hall in Samziuram village, which was constructed through the contribution of Kevizenuo Rangkau, wife of deputy chief minister, TR Zeliang, was inaugurated by Azeu Namcyn Hau, personal secretary to deputy chief minister, on Wednesday in the presence of Samziuram Village Council members, NDPP leaders from 7 Peren and 6 Tening Assembly Constituencies and other dignitaries.
Samziuram Women Society (SWS) was established on May 29, 1989.

“To give from one own’s pocket for construction of a community hall explains the level of charitable nature in her when even people in position to render help from government funds finds it difficult to do so,” Hau said.
Stating that Kevizenuo Rangkau has been treating everyone with compassion and supported them morally, physically and financially in every way possible since the last several decades,’ Hau stated that her good-will efforts have helped many people in the area and in the state in several ways.
Hau has described Kevizenuo Rangkau as a ‘simple, kind, generous and caring person by nature whose love and affection for the poor and downtrodden is exceptional.’
The inaugural programme began with unveiling of plaque by the special guest, which was followed by flag hoisting ceremony. The programme was moderated by Jienmum Malangmei, while a dedication prayer was pronounced by James Gonmei, pastor of Seventh Day Adventist Church, Samziuram.
A brief history of SWS was presented by its general secretary, Kaduna, and concluded with a benediction said by Agang, pastor of Zeme Baptist Church, Samziuram.
