Dimapur, June 29 (EMN) : The first training programme on doll-making by local enterprise Nungshiba has concluded, on June 21. The basic doll-making training programme was a 45-day course which started on May this year, a press release from the organisers stated on Thursday.
Naga model Ketholeno attended the ‘Nungshiba handicrafts felicitation program’ for the successful candidates at the Integrated Development- Resource Centre at Purana Bazaar in Dimapur on June 29, the organisers informed.
According to the press release, proprietor of the enterprise Zuboni Humtsoe congratulated the successful trainees and informed that all the five successful candidates have been offered job placement within the company. Out of the five candidates, two are specially-able, it was informed.
In line with the vision and mission of the enterprise’s parent company, Preciousmelove, Nungshiba strives to provide best quality training and to create more jobs and opportunities for creative people, irrespective of educational qualification.
The team is also working closely with the Deaf Biblical Ministry in Dimapur to empower and employ more specially-able people to keep nurturing an inclusive ecosystem at the workplace, the organisers informed.
The Nungshiba basic doll making training programme is supported by the Women Resource Development department, it was informed.
The second training will commence from July, the organizers informed. Interested candidates have been invited through the local media to apply for the event. Two seats are reserved for the specially-able.
