National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSWW), NSCN today organized an interaction with the Ato Kilonser, N. Kitovi Jimomi, for women members, wives and widows at its council headquarters, Khehoi.
Speaking at the gathering, the Ato Kilonser recalled on how the Naga national movement started to the political situation this day. Urging women to be more vigilant, patient and humble, Jimomi said, women can be the biggest path breakers when it came to nation building.
Quoting, “If behind every successful man, there is a woman, behind every man who has failed, there must be a wicked woman,” Jimomi questioned whether each was a peacemaker or a wicked one. The Ato Kilonser assured the women that regardless of 33% reservation for women, the GPRN/NSCN has always considered its women at par with men and will continue to do so.
The envoy to collective leadership, Alezo Venuh and Home Kilonser Seochung Sangtam also exhorted the gathering. Women present also delivered short speeches.
MIP GPRN/NSCN in a press note said, around 500 women attended the gathering chaired by NSWW chairperson Holitoli Aye.
