Dimapur, Aug. 5 (EMN): Six-day training programme on beekeeping was held at Mass Educational Welfare Society Hall in Wokha from July 30 to Aug. 4.
The programme was conducted by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and implemented in association with Mass Educational Welfare Society of Wokha, ppdates received from the organised on Saturday informed.
The programme was inaugurated by Lipok Ozukum, branch manager of the Central Bank of India (CBI).
He also informed the participants about the role of bank in the social economic development of rural people.
A total of 35 candidates from different villages in and around Wokha attended the training programme. The training included both the theoretical and practical training for including apiary visitation. During the valedictory programme, Dr. Morothung Ezung, VAS Veterinanry Hospital of Wokha encouraged the trainee to be dedicated and sincere while executing any enterprises.
He also spoke about the medicinal values and importance of honey in day-to-day life.
