Dimapur, Aug. 18 (EMN): The students’ unions of Bailey Baptist College and Mount Tiyi College of Wokha district have expressed their unconditional support to the land encroachment and scholarship issues raised by the All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU).
The two students’ unions expressed unhappiness on the state government and urged it to resolve the issue at the earliest.
A press release issued on behalf of the two colleges by Chonchithung Y Emungrui, president of BBC Students’ Union, extended support to the issue of land encroachment of Kohima Science College, Jotsoma, scholarship cell and permanent settlement of scholarship and demarcation and building of concrete walls in an around the demarcated land of all government colleges and polytechnics.
The release said that the above issues have been a deterrent factor towards the uplift and welfare of the students’ community.
The unions also called upon the stakeholder to support the concerns of the students’ community as it compromises the welfare of the students as a whole.
