DIMAPUR — A coordination meeting was held at
the DC conference hall in Wokha in preparation for the pre-monsoon national
campaign 'Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan' (VKSA) on Wednesday.
The campaign, aimed at raising awareness of improved farming
technologies and sustainable practices, will take place from May 29 to June 12,
according to a DIPR report.
Deputy Commissioner Vineet Kumar presided over the meeting,
which focused on planning and execution strategies to ensure effective
implementation of VKSA activities in Wokha district.
The campaign will cover 108 villages in the district over 12
days. Three teams, each including one agricultural scientist, will visit nine
villages per day, targeting a total outreach of 16,200 farmers.
VKSA aims to promote advanced farming techniques, encourage
natural and climate-resilient agriculture, share information on government
agricultural schemes, and facilitate direct interaction between farmers and scientists.
