Dimapur, Jan. 16 (EMN): A day-long workshop on Technology Aids to Investigation (TAI) was organised by the District Enforcement Force (DEF), Wokha, on January 16 in the conference hall of the Superintendent of Office, Wokha.
The workshop is a training programme on basic course for cyber investigation in DEF Wokha. It focused on general awareness about the age crimes technology, assisted crimes, and about the technology aids in investigation including Call Detail Record (CDR) analysis, social media profiling, etc.
Michael Yhome, deputy SP and OC (cyber), and ASI Vizotuonyu Medom were the resource persons, who deliberated on introduction to cyber crime investigation, phone forensics and call detail record analysis with practical case studies.
Earlier, SP Wokha, Manojkumar, elaborated to the participants on information through open sources.
The workshop was held to develop an understanding of social media as an aid to investigation and to understand and gain knowledge of CDR analysis and tools.
Altogether 30 representatives from crime branch, district crime record bureau, government organisations and non-governmental organisations from DEF Wokha attended the programme.
