Wokha observes Swachhata Pakhwada fortnight

[caption id="attachment_244307" align="aligncenter" width="900"] Health workers pose for a group photo during Swachhata Pakhwada fortnight training at District Hospital, Wokha.[/caption] Dimapur, April 17 (EMN): All health centres in Wokha district observed the Swachhata Pakhwada fortnight from April 1 to 15 by conducting cleanliness drive in their respective health centres along with the ASHAs and VHSNC members. Training on sanitation and hygiene, bio-medical waste management, spill management, disinfection and sterilisation methods, infection control practices and work management was held at District Hospital, Sanis CHC, and Wozhuro PHC with Dr. Thungchanbeni Patton, DPM (Quality Assurance), as the resource person. Swachhata pledge was also taken to maintain cleanliness in hospitals and all other health centres. Sensitisation of ASHAs on sanitation and hygiene was done as a part of Swachhata Pakhwada activities. Swachhata Pakhwada fortnight activities were undertaken with an aim to promote good health by creating a clean and safe environment and keeping up with good infection control practices in the health units.
