Wokha, Golaghat administrations agree to activate boarder peace committee

According to DPRO report, the officials after deliberations on some boarder issues, decided to activate the boarder peace committee and will also conduct outreach programme, cultural exchange programme and sports to bring better understanding between the two states. The meeting was attended by deputy commissioners and superintendents of Police of Wokha and Golaghat; additional deputy commissioner, and extra assistant commissioner of Bhandari; sub-divisional officer (C), Ralan; SDPO; and sector commander (Sector C & D), Golaghat. Talking about the construction of a neutral force BOP at Chandalashung-B (DAB sector -C), Golaghat DC is said to have assured to check harassment of Nagas and ensure safety for travellers through Assam. Both Wokha and Golaghat ad ministrations is stated to have agreed on ‘transparency in sharing of information and cooperative mindset to solve the issues within the BM level / DC level without sending them to the higher authorities.’ The meeting was attended by DC and SP Wokha, and also DC and SP Golaghat, Sector commanders (Sector C & D).
