Dimapur, May 2 (EMN): In view of the proposed state-wide mass social work on May 4, ADC and administrator of Wokha Town Council (WTC) informed that the social work would begin at 7 am till 12 noon and requested all the colony/ ward chairmen and GBs to mobilise volunteers in their respective colonies for mass participation.
ADC stated this during the meeting of all Head of Offices (HoOs) under Wokha district held on May 2 in the DC’s conference hall, which was also attended by colony chairmen and GBs of Wokha town.
He also requested all HODs to ensure strict attendance of all government employees during the social work. He informed that officers would be deputed in all the colonies and ward to monitor the social work adding the cleanest colony would be awarded with cash incentives. He urged all the citizens to actively partake in the social work.
During the meeting Wokha District Disaster Management Authority (WDDMA) also presented detail data of disaster that occurred in Wokha district during the period from September 2018 to April 2019 and numbers of relief and ex-gratia given to effected families.
Important agendas like identification of risk zone and alternative route, stocking of rice for emergency, stock of medical supplies, stock of medical supplies for animal related epidemic, emergency restorative system, submission of damage report by concerned administrative officers, and constitution of Village Disaster Management Authority (VDMA) were also deliberated during the meeting.
