Dimapur, Nov. 13 (EMN): In what can be termed as a welcome development, the Wokha district planning and development board (DPDB) has approved the “implementing committee members” for LADP 2018-19 under Wokha district against four Assembly Constituency and Common pool schemes. The approval was taken at the monthly DPDB meeting which was held on Nov. 13 which was chaired by deputy commissioner Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon.
The board also approved for creation of SDO (Soil) and sub-division horticultural office both under Sanis ADC headquarters and registration of Wokha District Differently-abled Persons Association to concerned department for recommendation.
The board also deliberated on the formulation of a vision document for Wokha District. MLA Dr. Chumben Murry appealed to the public to extend support to the various activities undertaken by Town Council and other NGOs in regard to the cleanliness drive. The DAPCU Wokha unit presented the quarterly report on HIV/AIDS scenario and the activities undertaken. The department of CAWD also presented their departmental activities and programmes.
