Dimapur, Jan. 9 (EMN): The Wokha District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) has honoured the medallists of the state’s 1st Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) held from Dec. 12-16 2017 in Dimapur.
The medallists were honoured during the board’s monthly meeting on Jan. 9 at Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall, Wokha.
According to DPRO report, Wokha district won 21 medals including four Gold, seven Silver and 10 Bronze. All together 84 contingents took part in the event in eight different disciplines.
The Vice Chairman DPDB and Deputy Commissioner, Wokha Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon reminded head of offices who have not submitted the list of drivers, government vehicles and employees list to submit the same at the earliest.
Work distribution for Republic Day celebration was also discussed during the meeting.
DC informed that demonstration of VVPAT for the upcoming state assembly election is underway in all polling stations under the supervision of sector magistrates and urged all to extend co-operation while doing the exercise.
Project director DRDA presented departmental activities. EE (R&B) has been requested to present departmental activities in the next meeting.
