The district administration along with police and the Doubshi carried out the clearance drive on April 18 as part of compliance with an order issued by the deputy commissioner of Wokha, Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon.
During the drive, the administration removed buildings materials and unauthorised parking of vehicles which was obstructing the flow of traffic in and around the town.
A DIPR report stated that altogether six vehicles were towed away and kept at DTO office, while the owners of materials stocked along the road were given 48 hours time for removal of the same.
It further directed citizens in concern not to dump building materials and off-roads vehicles along roads.
