DIMAPUR — A joint "Co-ordination and
Action Committee" was formed at the joint consultative meeting called by
the Dimapur Rengma Youth Organisation on December 20 to pursue the case of the
assault on innocent youths by the cadres of NSCN-R (Akato).
“As such, we would like to state categorically that the
committee has the full and unflinching support of all our member organisations,
comprising of various tribal youth and civil units,” stated a press release
issued by Western Naga Youth Front (WNYF).
“The WNYF, a conglomerate of youth organisations and civil
bodies, fully endorses the resolutions adopted by the committee and is
determined to see the realisation of its objectives for the common welfare of
the Naga society,” it further read.
It was stated that if any groups or individuals try to
interfere with the committee and its objectives, the WNYF will take strong
action against them.
The committee also appealed to the general public to
support its efforts, ensuring that it can execute its duties without coercion
of any kind and bring about a logical conclusion to this pressing issue.
