Dimapur, Oct. 6 (EMN): The Witter Theological College annual sports’ meet 2018-2019 kicked off on the theme embracing a rainbow community through sports’ in the college playground on October 5.
In an update received here on Sat. Oct. 6, the event was attended by Tumchobemo Yanthan, Addl. SP Wokha as the special guest who declared the annual sports’ meet open.
The special guest exhorted the students to grab the occasion to exhibit and hone their hidden talents while embracing holistic development to progress and compete more effectively in life.
Altogether, three houses comprising of Witter, Houston, and Shanchamo are competing in the annual sports meet. The opening programme was chaired by S. Ekonthung Ezung, Asst. Professor.
Invocation was offered by Dhane, Asst. Professor, and the welcome address was delivered by Principal Dr. Moanungsang.
A special song was presented by the house captains and the oath-taking was led by the sports’ secretary, while the closing prayer and benediction was offered by Academic Dean Talinungsang Longkumer. The occasion was also marked by an exhibition football match between WTC XI vs Peace Count, Wokha.
