Kudos! To team KABA: CARE from the Y. Junction Traders Union for their commendable initiative in giving the much needed facelift to all the Footbridges located at different junctions within Kohima. Many citizens of Kohima may still not be aware about these group of enthusiastic youngsters from Kohima AO Baptist Arogo (KABA) equipped with their paint brushes, buckets and their skills; painstakingly creating beautiful works of Art with such finesse that it appears so effortless at the end of the day!
Not to talk of financial resources, even the skills, effort and time they concentrate towards the undertaking is laudable and worth emulating. Indeed a breed of new generation in age of gadgets, smart phones and Apps!
Previously a place frequented by not-so-pleasant people, they are now truly public and traffic utility footbridges, apart from the added aestheticism.The Y junction traders union further appeal to every citizen to co-operate with the team towards these endeavours by being mindful during the project period.
Having read about the team’s appeal in the loacal dailies, when few weeks back some reckless miscreant defaced and have thrown away their wares, the Y-Junction Traders Union reiterate the same. It further states that such act is unbecoming of in a civilized society.
Once again congratulation to the KABA: CARE Team for not only upholding the adage “Dignity of Labour” while fulfilling their environmental concerns, but also for “Walking the talk”
