- WOKHA — The
ongoing 29th T20 Winter Cricket Challenge in Wokha saw Juggernauts and Mayang
Nokcha MCC each secure three points in their respective group league matches.
- In the first match of the day, the Juggernauts' skipper won
the toss and opted to bat first. Gaurav and Nayan contributed 20 and 17 runs,
respectively, setting a target of 122 runs.
- While chasing, Rising Stars were all out for just 82 runs in
17.2 overs. Toshi Manen of Juggernauts delivered an exceptional performance,
bowling four overs, taking four wickets and three maidens, and conceding only
eight runs, earning him the Man of the Match title.
- The second match saw Mayang Nokcha MCC win the toss against
Thyushong Club Tseminyu and elect to bat first. The destructive openers, Vijay
and Manchet, scored 29 and 58 runs, respectively.
- Nehal, Merenkaba, and Mhonbemo each added 12 runs, setting a
target of 165 runs in 20 overs for victory, having lost 6 wickets. In response,
the Thyushong Club Tseminyu fell short by 36 runs, losing 5 wickets in 20
overs.
- Kepesielie Kent and Alok Sharma were the top contributors
for Tseminyu, with scores of 47 and notable performances.
- Manchet was adjudged
the Man of the Match.
