Kohima, April 10 (EMN): Middle Bayavü Lions, Upper Bayavü Sixers, Rokabozou/Sepfuzou Challengers won their respective matches at the ongoing 4th edition of 10-Northern Angami -1 T20 Bash played at KVC Ground, Ziekezou on Monday. The tournament is organised by Brotherhood Group under the theme “Bat for Unity”
Middle Bayavü Lions defeated D. Khel United by 58 runs in the first match. Electing to bat first, Middle Bayavü scored a total of 167/5 in 18 overs. In reply, D Khel were restricted to 109/7 in 18 overs. Middle Bayavü all-rounder Neitseizo with 51 runs off 26 balls and claiming 2 wickets for 5 runs in 4 overs was adjudged as the Man of the match.
The second match played between Upper Bayavü Sixers and T. Khel Knights was won by Upper Bayavü by 4 runs. Upper Bayavü scored a total of 119/7 in 18 overs. Batsmen Senchum with 34 runs off 31 balls and Moa with 28 runs off 30 balls scored the highest runs for Bayavü. In reply, T Khel were restricted for 115/7 in 18 overs. Dziesevotuo contributed the highest runs for T Khel with 48 runs off 44 balls. Senchum and Vikato took one wicket each giving away 26 runs in 8 overs between them. All-rounder Sepichum of Upper Bayavü was awarded the Man of the match.
In the final match of the day, Rokabozou/Sepfuzou Challengers overpowered P. Khel Eagles by 4 wickets. All-rounder player Najim of P Khel Eagles with 8 runs off 15 balls and 4 wickets for 10 runs in 3 overs was declared as the Man of the match.
