We the Disabled People of Northern Angami Handicapped Union (NAHU) would like to state a few lines for the welfare of our people. So to say Disabled People but it may also be mentioned that we are Differently Abled Persons having ability in many kinds of works “not mentioned”. We the differently able persons are once again proud that the “Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016” once again passed by the Parliament. But questions arise who will implement it and when will this Act be enforced in our state. We are grateful to our State Government for making programmes and avenue for our Disabled People but during the past Two Three decades of PWD Act 1995. We have completely forgotten and neglected the Rights of Disabilities and now the Rights of Disabilities Act 2016 is the only replace Bill of PWD Act 1995. Will this Act be implement or continue like same as before? We have we have no rights in our state except Reservation and Relaxation of age just by namesake which is neglected most of the time. Who is responsible for adoption of this Act? As it is the state Government or the public? Government is the implementers. If there is a drop of sympathy even for our Differently Abled Persons, please implement the bill at the earliest. It is our humble request to his Excellency the Governor and Honourable Chief Minister, Nagaland for this Act, you both are always by our Disabled sides and we thank you for the welfare of the Differently Able Person of our few Disabled People of our State Nagaland. We have great hope in you that during your tenure of high post, this bill will be make to come into force in our State which will be the first record in Naga History that the “Rights of Persons with Disabilities” was implemented which was not made even before.
These should be in every person’s mind that Right of Disabilities Act must be implemented in our State and support it for early implementation and this is the humblest request from our Disabled People of Nagaland, where this Act is a feeding Bill of needy people.
