In a recent moral Armageddon this writer had with the Naga Hoho, for mentioning some unkind words about some commonly perceived behaviors of the widely known organization, expectedly, the Organization were very sore with this writer and fumed they would take the writer’s Indecency to their general conclave coming in a few months time and decide action against me.Now, when the Naga Hoho fumes at somebody, people feel concerned because the organization has someone with clenched Fists at their back.
Therefore, good people of love and the well intentioned from both sides diplomatically mooted an Idea to the Writer that he should, before the organization’s conclave, address a letter to the Organization requesting for a ‘mutual forgiveness’’.
The writer only wrote in the papers what he commonly saw the public perception was, and honestly he had no intension of seeking ‘mutual forgiveness’ for that. Perversely, and stubbornly also, he therefore declined to do such a preemptive scratching of Paper.
The Naga Hoho has not yet had their intended conclave. They only expressed their ire so far, which was expected. A letter of request for ‘mutual forgiveness’ was premature. If necessary, “I would decide after the conclave’s decision becomes known”, I painfully said to my well wishers.
“Mutual Forgiveness”?!
What has the Nagas done to the Japanese that they invaded our land?
Do we have to Reconciliation with someone who invades our Country head hunters we may be?
The NNC claims India ‘Invaded Naga Land’; do NNC need to plead for mutual Forgiveness first?
Is that the Naga traditional customary ethic and morality?
What has become of the admirable Naga moral principles and ethics?.
The British battled their enemy in our country bringing destruction of our villages, desolation, death and misery to us no worth of us. And for that must the Naga raise stone monoliths in the memory of the white man!?
The Whites should raise stone monument in memory of our support to them in their war with their enemy in our land. We have neither ill feeling against the Japanese nor the British but something seem to have gone awry with the fine moral sense of the present generation of Nagas.
The Naga were very careful of his personal spirit that whenever he or she travel to far away country; on the day of return, very early morning he or she would shout and loudly call their own name spirit to come and return Home together!. Have the Naga today in their modern journey forget to recall their personal spirit on their return journey Home?
Japan needs to tender apology to the Naga’ and not vice versa. Christian or non-Christian apologizes to others for doing wrong to others.
