DIMAPUR — The Western Chakhesang Hoho (WCH) held its executive council meeting on July 26 at the WCH building, Chakhesang colony, Dimapur.
The session brought together leaders, including chairmen and executive members of affiliated villages/units across districts, including Dimapur, Chümoukedima, Niuland and Peren, the WCH stated in an update.
The meeting was also attended by office bearers, jury board members, advisory board members, and presidents/chairpersons of all frontal organisations —Western Chakhesang Mothers’ Association, Western Chakhesang GBs’ Union, Western Chakhesang Students’ Union, and Western Chakhesang Youth Organisation.
The meeting, led by the WCH vice president (administration), began with an invocation prayer by Rev. Dr. Vetso Koza. The general secretary presented a comprehensive report highlighting WCH's activities, initiatives, and commitment to unity, progress, and community development.

The house unanimously approved the nomination of Yetshulhi Ngatsi as the new president of WCH, Nukuzo Vero as vice president (jury) and Elijah Pfuno as secretary in charge of publicity and information.
Further, the affiliation of the KarbiAnglong Chakhesang Union to WCH was formally approved and adopted.
“This marks a renewed chapter of leadership, strengthening WCH’s mission and reaffirming its role as a unifying platform for the Chakhesang community across regions,” it stated.
“The meeting concluded on a note of optimism and shared responsibility, envisioning a future where collective wisdom and collaborative action remain the cornerstones of community development.”
