West Karbi Anglong outperformed Karbi Anglong in Higher Secondary results declared by Assam State School Education Board, leading in Arts, Commerce and Science streams.

DIPHU — West Karbi Anglong has outperformed Karbi Anglong across all three streams in the Higher Secondary final examination results declared on April 27 by the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), recording higher pass percentages in Arts, Commerce and Science.
In the Arts stream, Karbi Anglong recorded 7,036 candidates, of whom 4,943 passed, registering a pass percentage of 70.25%. West Karbi Anglong, with 3,144 candidates, recorded 2,615 successful candidates and a significantly higher pass percentage of 83.17%.
In Commerce, Karbi Anglong had 744 candidates, with 613 passing, resulting in a pass percentage of 82.39%. West Karbi Anglong, with 69 candidates, recorded 66 successful candidates, achieving a pass percentage of 95.65%.
The gap was also evident in the Science stream. Karbi Anglong recorded 1,067 candidates, of whom 1,004 passed, translating to a pass percentage of 94.10%. West Karbi Anglong, with 61 candidates, recorded 60 successful candidates and a pass percentage of 98.36%.
Overall, West Karbi Anglong’s performance placed it among the top-performing districts in the state, with a Science stream pass percentage of 98.36%, just behind Tamulpur at 98.39%.
Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council Chief Executive Member Tuliram Ronghang congratulated the students, describing the results as a “proud moment” for the hill districts. He said the performance reflected the dedication of students, teachers, parents and educational institutions, and wished the successful candidates continued success.
Executive Member in-charge of Education Richard Tokbi also congratulated the students, noting that the Science stream results of both districts had outshone many others and described West Karbi Anglong’s performance as among the best in the state.
