Dimapur, Oct. 7 (EMN): Charity Welfare Society (CWS) based in Khezhakeno has organised an awareness programme on organic farming on October 6 in Phek town with Neilo Koza, agriculture officer, as the resource person.
Speaking on the occasion, Koza stressed on the integrated farming for sustainability, enhancement of soil fertility and biological diversity. He also dwelt on prohibiting use of synthetic pesticides, antibiotics, chemical fertilisers etc. Explaining on the advantages of organic farming, he stated that the society would continue to organise such programme till October 10. The programme was chaired by Veprutso Nyekha, while the invocation was led by pastor Vichosa and the benediction was said by Chikha Koza.
