Water Resource trains workers in procedures, driving and accounts

[caption id="attachment_236596" align="aligncenter" width="500"] Water Resource department personnel who were trained in accounts.[/caption] Dimapur, March 2 (EMN): A training programme about office procedures and service establishment was conducted on, according to a delayed report, January 23. The training was conducted for officers and staff of the establishment of chief engineer’s office of the Water Resource department as part of a capacity-building programme. The government information agency the IPR issued updates about the event on Saturday. During the training programme, Renchamo Lotha, a retired additional secretary, was the resource person to the trainees. There were 44 participants attending the training, the DIPR stated. The training was primarily about the guidelines of office procedures, service establishment and ‘other subject matters,’ the DIPR explained. Further, the DIPR reported that a training programme “on driving skills” and “etiquette for drivers” was held on January 29 and the 30th. A one-day “classroom training on driving skills and etiquette” was conducted in two batches for two days. The training was meant for drivers. It was conducted in the conference hall of the chief engineer’s office. For the training event, Bendang Longchar, motor vehicle officer from the Transport department was the resource person, the DIPR stated. The resource persons were stated to have “encouraged the drivers to work sincerely and perform well in their duties as government drivers.” A total 53 participants from the government divisions attended the training. Another training event that the Water Resources department conducted was on auditing and accounts matter for officers and staff of said establishment. The training was conducted on February 15. The one-day training programme was conducted for engineers, subdivision officers and accountants/cashiers. Shankar KR Thakur was the resource person for the training, the updates informed. The main topics that were discussed during the training programme included maintenance of accounts, stock registers and assets and records of work implementation.
