KOHIMA — The Western Angami Students' Union (WASU) organised a career guidance programme on Monday in collaboration with the Western Angami Gazetted Officers Krotho at the AWO Building in Kohima.
During the event, Kepelhoutuo Chüsi, president of the Western Angami Public Organisation (WAPO), emphasised that students should not complain about the environment but should instead strive and compete to achieve their dreams, according to an update from the union.
President of the Western Angami Gazetted Officers Krotho (WAGOK), Rokovisa Chase, addressing the students, highlighted the importance of building the right character to achieve goals as well as discussed the competitiveness of government jobs.
Meanwhile, during the technical sessions, Kevilhoukho Lhousa, SDO of the Water Resources department, advised students to establish a solid foundation, assess their social skills, and maintain a balance with extracurricular activities.
Kelengoto William Soleho, the proprietor of Magdaline Coaching Centre, emphasised the importance of developing skills for the private sector and urged students to make wise career choices, while Kejalhuto Punyü, proprietor of Hiekha Coaching Centre, highlighted the scope and guidance related to different streams and competitive exams.
