Waste management seminar held in Mokokchung

Dimapur, June 21 (EMN): The Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) and Green Team, Kohima organised a seminar on waste management at MMC conference hall, Mokokchung on June 20. According to a statement from DIPR, LH Thangi Mannen, founding member of Green Team, gave a PowerPoint presentation on waste management and implementation of Nagaland Integrated Waste Management Policy 2019 at the seminar, while Pro – Rural, Dimapur presented on kitchen waste management and composting. Earlier during the programme, MB Longkumer, Chairman, SBM, Mokokchung delivered a short speech while Ellamary of Green Team, Kohima presented a brief introduction on waste management. Representatives from Ward Council, Sanitary committees, YWCA Mokokchung, Clean Mokokchung Campaign, MTLT, Run Mokokchung, WatsuMungdang and MCCI attended the seminar.
