DIMAPUR, APRIL 2
NSCN led by Wangtin Naga and Tikhak claimed today that they received overwhelming supports from various regional authorities. In a statement issued this evening the group claimed that this was witnessed in a meeting held on Thursday at Mon district headquarters. It stated that regional authorities led by their chairmen and vice chairmen from Chang, Yimchunger, Sangtam, Konyak, Chakhesang , and Phom participated in the meeting.
The ‘Naga Army’ was represented by Col. Khamhi, Col. Phongjai, Col. Wanglon, Lt.Col. Yohong, Lt.Col. Khatwang, Maj. Teihwang, Maj.Pongpa, Maj. Mathlem, Maj. Romeo, Maj. Kono, Maj. Yangpongse while the Civil setup was represented by host of Kilonsers and Deputy Kilonsers led by Cabinet Kilonser Zaremo Lotha, Kilonser Thopevezo, Kilonser Tongmeth, Deputy Kilonser Omnyai, Deputy Kilonser Langkho, Deputy Kilonser Chongpong,CCM cum Region Chairman Yimthong and host of CCM (Central Council Member), secretaries and Deputy Secretaries, it further claimed.
The statement then said that all the regional authorities, kilonsers,CCMs, ‘army officers’ and members attending the meeting hailed the two leaders for upholding the spirit of truth and peace.
The meeting resolved to stand by the two leaders (Wangtin and Tikhak) and urged both of them to work without fear or favour. The two leaders also urged all the ‘national workers’ who want peace to stand after them without any hesitation and follow the path of truth, reconciliation, love and respect in the Naga family. The two leaders also urged all the ‘national workers’ to use their wisdom and take any decision which will benefit the Naga society.
“No solution is possible without peace and reconciliation among the Nagas. The Naga people must unite together and raise the Naga issue in one voice. Therefore, we urged all the like- minded national workers to join us and strengthen our hands in building a peaceful Naga society. The national workers who want to work for peace and national reconciliation may contact senior Kilonser Zaremo Lotha and Dy. Kilonser Langkho at 9436612441 and 9612756715 respectively,” the statement added.
On the issue of CorCom (Co-ordination Committee), a conglomerate of several Meitei based outfits supporting the abrogation of ceasefire by S.S.Khaplang, the two leaders said that ‘outsiders will always be outsiders’. They will never have any love-lost for the Naga people, the statement of Wangtin and Tikhak led NSCN said.
“They have the habit of shooting from the Naga shoulder and this one is no different. Therefore, we are not surprised to see their support for abrogation of ceasefire. They knew that, if the Naga issue is put to rest, their issue will die its own natural death. Therefore, it becomes pertinent for them to keep raking the Naga issue for their own survival,” the statement added.
Lt. Gen. Niki Sumi: Not more than nine years old in the Naga national movement and having involved in the NSCN/GPRN as late as post ceasefire 2005 it is but natural for Wangtin and Tikhak alike to be bereft of any experiences of harsh political realities except for periodic review of ceasefire, these political juveniles basks on imaginary peaceful political solution conceived through enemy’s hypnotised state of purgatory.
This was stated by Lt. Gen Niki Sumi,
NSCN-K ‘military supervisor,’ Nagaland in a statement today.
He said the addiction to ill-gotten luxury, greed and Indianised subservient way of life and thoughts incites these disgrace individuals to uphold and espouse the fake goodwill of the enemy, meantime denounce any move to curtail the conveniently established status-quo.
“The self-styled policy of gimmick and conniving with enemy at the expense of NSCN/GPRN and Naga cause is very ironic on the part of the so called exponents of peaceful solution. It is also a classic case of hypocrisy that self-proclaimed leaders of peace find it too petrifying to raise a single voice against India yet contently crucifies Naga sovereignty at the altar of own selfish materialistic cravings,” Nikki stated.
“The spiteful rhetoric aiming to sow seeds of discourse among the senior NSCN leaders by this flock is only a sign of desperate writhing of a dying organ. The NSCN/GPRN is less bothered of whatever antics being played out by loud mouthed jesters however cautions the forged usage of MIP NSCN/GPRN to magnify their hollow agendas,” the NSCN-K leader also said.
Nikki then said that besides ‘this cheap’ act of plagiarism the NSCN-K does not give a wink as to any style or manner of activities by ‘expelled and dishonoured kilonsers’.
“It only remains to be seen if the performance of the ceasefire based peace could possibly achieve anything but sovereignty,” he added.
