Dimapur, Nov. 11 (EMN): The advisor to the Social Welfare department, Noke Wangnao, has expressed grief at the demise of former minister Yamakam who passed away on Nov. 9 at Zion Hospital in Dimapur. The advisor issued a condolence message on Sunday. “I am saddened with the demise of Shri. Yamakam, who was four-time elected member of Nagaland Legislative Assembly and whom I knew well for long. He was one of a tall leader of Yimchunger tribe, who served the Nagas immensely in his capacity as dedicated social worker and later on as elected member in the NLA (sic),” the message read. Calling the demised leader a man of vision and wisdom, the advisor hoped that the ‘unfinished mission’ would be carried on by his son, Toshi Wungtung, also an advisor. Wangnao has conveyed condolences and prays for the departed leader to rest in peace.
