Dimapur, Oct. 6 (EMN): Advisor for social welfare, home guards and civil defence, Noke Wangnao accompanied by department officials called on Union Minister for Minority Affairs, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi at New Delhi on Oct. 4.
Advisor Wangnao, during the meeting with Naqvi, shared about the activities taken place in the state so far with regard to minority development and at the same time requested the union ministry to extend more assistance for minority welfare in Nagaland.
To this, the Union Minister, MA Naqvi apprised the visiting state delegation that there are some schemes which the state can apply for; besides, Naqvi also said that under the ‘economic empowerment’, Nagaland can avail the benefit of soft loans for development in the state. Wangnao expressed gratitude to the union minister for his concern for the minority in the state, this was stated in a press release which was received here.
