Walk against domestic violence in Mokokchung

Dimapur, Oct. 21 (EMN): The Mokokchung SAKHI- One Stop Centre (OSC) and District Administration observed Domestic Violence Awareness month by organising ‘a walk against domestic violence’. The walk, which was flagged off by Sentilong Ozukum, EAC Mokokchung, started from Imlong place police point to Multi-purpose Sports Complex on October 19. According to an update from DIPR, a programme was held at the end of the walk with SDO (Civil) Mokokchung, Dharam Raj as the guest of honour. In his speech, Raj called upon the participants to raise their voice against domestic violence in the society and added that victims suffer not only physically but also mentally. Raj also declared a poster campaign and conducted pledge (signature wall).
