- KOHIMA — Member
of Nagaland Legislative Assembly (MLA) from 9 Kohima Assembly Constituency and
chairman of Kohima District Planning and Development Board (DPDB), Dr.
Tseilhoutuo Rhütso, on Friday inaugurated a newly constructed waiting shed at
Mewibogei Colony under Ward No. 17 in Kohima.
- The project was implemented under the Local Area Development
Programme (LADP) Common Pool for 2024-25.
- Speaking at the event, Dr. Rhütso emphasised the challenges
of development in Kohima as the rising cost of land often surpasses project
budgets that pose significant hurdles to executing development initiatives.
- He has appreciated the residents of Mewibogei Colony for
their cooperation in providing land for the waiting shed and enabling
successful completion of the project. He further assured the community of his
best efforts to continue addressing their needs wherever possible.
- On behalf of the residents, Chuba Jamir and Neitho extended
their gratitude to Dr. Rhütso for his unwavering commitment to the development
of the colony and the welfare of its community. They noted that the waiting
shed symbolied his dedication to improving infrastructure and fostering unity
in the constituency.
- The inaugural function was chaired by Kongie Ozukum, vice
chairman of Mewibogei Council, while Mar Tzudir, treasurer of the council, said
the dedicatory prayer.
