[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he world we live in is dominated by all the sins of the world. We know what the sins of the world are because we have the knowledge of the truth. Our eyes are now opened to the knowledge of good and evil. We often presume the youths to be more sinful, but it is not them alone, many of our children, our youths and our elders are lost in their sins.The sins which were once done in secret are now done in the open. Sinners are not ashamed to reveal their shame and adulterers are not guilty of their sins. The very reasons we commit the sins of adultery, thievery, killings and murder is because we don’t fear God. We tend to treat His Word with contempt.
The sad truth is that many are in love with sin. They don’t fear to do evil rather they delight in the acts of wickedness. The suicide bombers are the agents of Satan who lives to kill and who dies to destroy. In the recent past many party goers were killed and injured when suicide bombers strucked at the very place they were sinning. It’s obvious that the ones who died in their sins will meet their fate in the lake of fire. God is merciful to the pleas of repentance sinners but His wrath is on those who sins to displease Him. There are many who are already condemned but I pray that none of you who reads this will suffer the torments of hell.
There are those who gains riches through deceit, who deceives people through bribery and who cheats people through corruption. God is not an unjust God and He will judge everyone according to what he or she has done. (Romans 2:6) the sinners who entices people to sin will be judged more severely than the others. If you sin just to fulfill the desires of the flesh, the consequences of it will be severe and disastrous. The Word states “Put to death, therefore whatever belongs to your earthly nature; sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of this the wrath of God is coming. Colossians 3:5-6. God is not happy with the way things are and every sinner will suffer when divine wrath befalls them. It’s so easy to fall in love with a person, and it is also easy to make love with that person.
The Bible states “… God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. (1 Thessalonians 4:7). God’s Word is truth and anyone who does not obey the truth will be dealt with severity. The book of Romans states that the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus (Romans 6:23). There is an evil in us which causes us to sin and to defile ourselves from within. When we entertain sinful thoughts, the sinful desires in us causes us to sin. When Adam and Eve sinned, they not only disobeyed but they lied to cover their sin. The Scripture states “Therefore just as sin entered the world through one man and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned- for before the law was given sin was in the world. But sin is not taken into account where there is no law.( Romans 5:12-13). Knowing that sin can destroy us if we allow sin to reign in our mortal bodies, we will ultimately be destroyed by it. Sometimes our minds can be corrupted by the obscene talks and jokes of adulterers. When we listen to such things, we will likely be influenced by what they are. The scripture passage below vividly exposes our own weaknesses.
“… but each one is tempted when, by his own desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin when it is fully grown, gives birth to death.( James 1:14-15) It is clearly written for us to understand. Ignoring the words of caution will prove to be disastrous.
Meditate on the poem below and see if there are any vices related with your life of sin…SIN”… enemy of righteousness/ corruption of the soul/the seed of destruction/ the tool of the evil one/ a disease passed on/ from generation to generations/ the mark of the condemned/the sign of death/ weapon of destruction/ over of the wicked/ let it not creep into you/ it has the power to destroy you/ resist it, defy it/ claim victory over it/ through the blood/ destroy it before it destroys you/ the power is in your hands/ and the decision is up to you/ conquer it.
It is clearly written in the Word that all sinners will be destroyed; the future of the wicked will be cut off.(Psalm 37:38). It is not God’s desire that any should perish but for all to come to repentance. Death awaits those who are slaves to sin. Do not let it have mastery over you. Conquer it and receive the gift of eternal life. Follow not the legacy of sin but follow the legacy of Christ. The Church of Christ loves you as Christ loves you.
