Dimapur, Dec. 20 (EMN): To educate voters on the use of various ballot devices for the forthcoming assembly election in 2018, the district electoral officer of Sushil Kumar Patel, and his team of officials have started VVPAT demonstrations in Dimapur district.
The demonstration drive, which was started in Nov., shall continue till the completion of the assembly elections.
The administrative officers and sector officers of Dimapur have been instructed to inform the people about the time, date and venue of the VVPAT demonstration in advance for bigger participation of the masses.
Further, it was informed that officials shall be clarifying ‘doubts’ of voters, if any, during the event.
According to a DIPR report, the calendar for the VVPAT demonstration for Dimapur district has been made and shall be communicated to the people by their respective administrative officer.
The administration has appealed to the masses to participate in the VVPAT demonstration drive and pledge to ethical voting.
