
Bashangmongba Chang along with other officials during the
inauguration of VVIP quarters in Thizama on Tuesday.
- DIMAPUR — The
minister of PWD (Housing and Mechanical Engineering), Bashangmongba Chang,
inaugurated three VVIP quarters for legislators in Thizama under Kohima
district on Tuesday.
- Speaking at inaugural programme, the minister has termed the
occasion as another milestone on the commitment made by the state government in
improving the state's housing infrastructure. He has appreciated the visionary
leadership of Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, for the unwavering
commitment for infrastructure development and his proactive initiatives, which
is a testament to his vision for a well-planned and modern Nagaland.
- He also expressed gratitude to the concerned contractors and
the entire work force team, who have work tirelessly to ensure timely
completion of the project while maintaining the highest standard of quality and
efficiency, a DIPR report stated.
- The minister maintained that the Housing department remains
committed to improving residential facilities, office spaces and other vital
infrastructure across the state. He further sought collective responsibility to
maintain and utilise the facilities efficiently and continue to work together
in building a better Nagaland.
- It mentioned that the administrative approval for the
construction of three residential quarters for VVIP in Thizama under special
assistance to state for capital investment was obtain on July 12, 2023, with
the project cost of INR 18 crore and subsequently work order was issued on
September 20, 2023, to three firms namely M/s Yangdip Sangtam; M/s Guolhoulie
Rio and M/s JK construction respectively.
- The component of each quarters consisted of the main
building and various supporting facilities such as guest dormitory-cum-garage
security barrack and ancillary works.
