Dimapur, July 4: The Parliamentary Secretary of Information & Public Relations, Khekaho Assumi, inaugurated the 30th Tulini Volleyball Tournament at VK Town under Zunheboto district on Monday. The tournament has been organized by VK Area People’s Organization on the theme “Victory through harmony.” Twenty teams representing the villages under VK area are participating in the tournament.
In his inaugural address, Khekaho appealed the teams to make the tournament a platform that brings unity among the people of the area, to usher in progress and overall development of the area. Khekaho, who represents Akuluto Assembly constituency, said that he would try his best to bring development to the area as “VK area is one of the less developed areas in the state.”He also called upon the people to be in tune with the efforts of the state government to undertake development activities.
In the inaugural match, defending champion Dolphin ‘A’ defeated Sasta Sports Association (SSA) in straight sets.
