Voice Hunt 2018, a singing competition was organised by Jain Ahinsa Samiti (JAS) Dimapur, a wing of Shree Digambar Jain Samaj Dimapur at Jain Bhawan on April 7 and 8th.
A press release issued by the PRO of JAS mentioned that the contest was open to all the singers of the marwari community.
Altogether 23 participants were said to have been shortlisted from the audition. 10 participants made it to the finals during a live semi-final held on April 7.
The three winners were ultimately announced after a live final on April 8 with Payal Bagra as first, Swati Jain (CA) as second and Kapil Jain third. They were awarded with a cash prize of INR 21000, INR 11000 and INR 7100 respectively. Also, consolation prizes were given to all the participants.
JAS in the release had extended gratitude to all the sponsors, participants, audience and everyone for the support in making the event a big success.
