place and Wenlao Konyak, 85 years from the Konyak tribe, came in the third
place.
A total of 13 tribes participated in the competition.
The winners received cash prizes of INR 5000, INR 3000 and
INR 2000 respectively.
The horn blowing competition was to revive the dying mode of
communication practice by ancestors and to create awareness among today's
generation of its significance.
Horn blowing is a sound device with a variety of function in
different cultures, however the common usages are celebrations and alertness on
impending danger.
