Vision League Under-13 football tournament kicks off in Mokokchung with six teams competing at Mojabi Football Turf.

MOKOKCHUNG — The first edition of the Vision League, an Under-13 football league organised by the 35+ Mokokchung Football League under the aegis of the Mokokchung District Football Association (MDFA) and powered by Longterok Football Club, commenced at the Mojabi Football Turf, Mokokchung, on December 6.
The opening ceremony was attended by Ajay Moktan, assistant commissioner of Mokokchung, who underscored the importance of sports in cultivating discipline, teamwork, and perseverance among young athletes.

Bendangnukshi, vice president of the MDFA, encouraged the young footballers to embrace continuous learning and growth through the sport, expressing optimism that the Vision League would foster innovative football philosophies and nurture emerging talent in the district.
Vesupra Kezo, senior superintendent of police, urged the participants to seize the opportunity, uphold discipline, and face challenges with determination, remarking that “tomorrow’s football stars are being shaped here.”

The league features six clubs—Rising Phoenix FC, Speedy Cheetahs, Mini Marvels, Tenacious Titans, Daring Dolphins, and Agile Avengers—with each team comprising 12 players competing in a 7-a-side format.
The teams consist of players aged between 8 and 13 years and are mentored by members of the 35+ Mokokchung Football League.
