Wokha, Aug. 20 (EMN): Wokha Vishal Mega Mart was inaugurated on Saturday with a ribbon cutting ceremony by a retired SDO of PWD department, Titus Humtsoe, in the presence of Vishal general manager in-charge of Northeast, family and well-wishers.
Around a thousand shoppers visited the mega mart store on the first day of the opening.
The landlord, Daniel Humtsoe, informed that the aim of bringing Vishal Mega Mart to Wokha town was to bring an affordable market and facilities providing all basic requirements under one roof and to help in providing job opportunities to educated unemployed youth in the society. Currently, the Vishal Mega Mart Wokha has employed 40 people.
He stated that though there was no proper circulation of a job interview, 204 aspirants turned up for the interview. He also informed that many of the aspirants were graduates. He appreciated the Vishal company for taking an interest and establishing the branch in Wokha. He also appreciated the M/S Ensign Construction Pvt. Nagaland for timely construction and completion of the building.
Vishal Mega Mart Wokha has various item starting from groceries, fashion wears, garments, footwear, and electronics to kitchen utensils and wide ranges of products that are affordable and provided with offers and gift hampers attracting local shoppers in town.
With the launching of Vishal Mega Mart in the Wokha district, Nagaland now has three major Vishal market business ventures including Dimapur and Kohima.
