Dimapur, July 27 (EMN): The 1st Viphrelie Sorhie Open Memorial Shooting Championship and the 5th Nagaland Shooting Championship were held at the Aries foundation shooting range NST Colony and the Aries Sports Complex, Bamun Pukhuri -1, Dimapur respectively.
The championships were held between July 22 to 26.
The president of Nagaland Rifle Association (NRA) in an update stated that 34 shooters from Aries Rifle and Pistol Shooting Academy, Dimapur, Naga Shooting Sports Club, Chumoukedima, Dzukuo Rifle Shooting Club, and LadyBird School Shooting Club, Mokokchung participated in the championships.
The winners were awarded with medals and certificates and “The Champion of Champions” (COC) in air rifle and air pistol category was awarded to Lochumi Shitiri of Naga Shooting Sports Club, Chumoukedima and Imnanungsang Tzudir (12 years old) of Lady Bird School Shooting Club, Mokokchung and received cash award of INR 5000 each.
