Vinoo Mankad Trophy: Nagaland thrash Sikkim by 8 wickets

Dimapur, Oct. 4 (EMN): After losing the toss against Sikkim, Nagaland were put in to field first during their Vinoo Mankad Trophy encounter at Pondicherry on Friday, October 4. Sikkim were all out for 102 runs in 37.4 overs. Robin Limboo and Rahul Kumar scored 21 and 20 runs respectively for Sikkim. Daniel Jamir took three wickets while Hopongkyu Sangtam, Arjun, and Ram Jnagir took two wickets apiece for Nagaland. Chasing 103 runs to win, Nagaland scored 105 runs losing two wickets in 18.1 overs to win by eight wickets. Vedansh was the main contributor for Nagaland scoring 43 runs while Hem and Shampri both scored 25 runs. Rahul Kumar of Sikkim took two wickets. In another update received here on Friday, the Vijay Hazare Trophy match between Nagaland and Pondicherry on Friday was abandoned due to rain.
