Dimapur, November 24: Vincent CC beat Titans CC by 7 wickets in the final to win the 1st Sashikokba Memorial Cricket tournament at Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung on Thursday
Titans opted to bat first having won the toss, set a target of 96 runs in 20 overs. Daniel Rai contributed the highest score of 31 runs while Yongzamong scored 16 runs for Titans. Vincent bowler Sahid claimed three wickets.
In the run chase, Vincent CC openers managed to take the match away from the Titans in the power play overs. But some tight bowling from the spinners dragged the game for the Titans. However, it was too little too late as Vincent CC overcame the target in the 13th over.
Thejasol with 39 runs was the highest run scorer; Vickey contributed with 21 runs. Titans bowler Ato Chang who claimed 2 wickets conceding 14 runs in 4 overs was the pick of the bowlers. Merenkaba also took one wicket.
Sahid was adjudged man of the match for his performance. Chubaodang was named player of the tournament and highest wicket taker went to Imliwati of Vincent CC. Lozi Hyundai was awarded the best discipline team.
