Dimapur, Jan. 9 (EMN): Jalukie battalion under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organised lecture on social welfare schemes for villagers of Tening village under Peren district on Jan. 9.
The lecture was delivered with an aim to acquaint people about various govt. schemes.
‘Jalukie battalion approached various Govt agencies i.e. ADC, Forest department, Block Development Office branch, manager of State Bank of India and CBPO to enlighten people about their ongoing projects,’ the authority claimed.
Village chairman, GBs, council members and public are said to have attended the lecture.
“Assam Rifles also claimed that they have apprised the villagers about the North East Council (NEC) scheme and requested to join hands with them to form a co-operative society to promote and support cardamom production.
