Dimapur, Feb. 1 (EMN): State Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute (SAMETI), in collaboration with Nagaland Career and Development Centre (NCDC) has organised a two-day training programme on “Professional skills development programme” for ATMA functionaries and agriculture officials at SAMETI, Medziphema, on January 29 and 30.
The training programme, which was an initiative of YouthNet, was aimed at educating the participants on skills to enable them execute their official duties more efficiently and effectively.
Resource persons for the training programme were Nuneseno Chase, manager of Learning and Development and Talent Management; Ebibeni Humtsoe, training consultant; Inakali Zhimo, leader from Resource Centre; Linet Sangtam, education counsellor; Viseno Yakhro, HR executive; and Kili Sumi, intern from YouthNet.
The training programme covered topics on ‘professionalism, etiquette, time management, debrief and energiser, communication skills, meeting skills and event coordination and teamwork, practical exercises on role play, team work, and letter writing.’
The valedictory programme was chaired by Vikaho Chophi, DPD, SAMETI, while feedbacks from the trainees were given by K Azungla Pongener, AO, DOA, Kohima, and Yanglen Jami, DPD Wokha.
In her valedictory address Ms Ebibeni Humtsoe, training consultant of YouthNet, expressed gratitude to SAMETI for the collaborative undertaking. She remarked that the training programme had been a two-way learning experience for both the facilitators as well as the participants. She applauded the participants for their dedication towards their official duty and the enthusiasm displayed throughout the training programme. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Tiajungla Longchar, DPD SAMETI.
