Kohima, Jan. 20 (EMN): Two-time member of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly with the Naga People's Front (NPF) representing the 14th Southern Angami-I assembly constituency, Vikho-o Yhoshü is reported to have resigned from membership of the twelfth Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) and the NPF on Jan. 20.
When contacted, an NLA official confirmed that the MLA has put down his papers on Sat. Yhoshü was elected from stated constituency in 2008 and 2013 on NPF ticket. He was last holding the post of advisor (cabinet status) for Mechanical Engineering and as chairman of the NSMDC. It was learnt that the politician had written to the chief minister as well resigning from ‘advisorship to the government of Nagaland.’
Sources close to Yhoshü have substantiated that he had resigned from the NLA as well as from the NPF party. However, they did not cite reasons. It is presumed that he would be joining the recently registered National Democratic Progressive Party.
